WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR (Headingley, MB)

About the Role:
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing daily warehouse operations to ensure delivery in full and on time (DIFOT) of goods. The role supports inventory accuracy, safe equipment operation, and effective team coordination while ensuring warehouse activities align with supply chain priorities, KPIs, and health and safety requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities, job priorities, and deliverables, plan workload, assign tasks, and assess results
- Communicate and assign team tasks appropriately
- Communicate the issues and results with the Supply Chain Manager
Receiving, Shipping, and Order Fulfillment
- Receive and process incoming finished goods and raw materials
- Ensure unload and put-away times align with Warehouse and Logistics KPIs
- Pick, pack, and fulfill orders accurately
- Set up new and additional orders efficiently
- Pack orders, label products, and prepare shipments
- Ship orders and ensure carriers and couriers pick up the correct boxes or crates
- Book and schedule loads to meet customer requirements
- Handle delivery inquiries and provide timely updates
Crating, Packaging, and Material Handling
- Manufacture crates for finished goods
- Box and shrink-wrap products as required
- Move products within the warehouse to support packaging and space utilization
- Load products into delivery trucks
- Identify, label, and pack products appropriately
Equipment and Tools
- Operate forklifts safely and responsibly
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and packaging equipment
Inventory Support
- Support the Inventory Coordinator with inventory activities
- Update and maintain inventory records
Logistics and Systems
- Communicate work progress using the M5 spreadsheet
- Prepare shipments online using carrier platforms such as FedEx
- Communicate with freight forwarders to book pick-ups and verify rates and transit times when required
- Ensure work aligns with Supply Chain KPIs and team objectives
Health, Safety, and Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Improve warehouse operational conditions
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Attend required safety training
- Identify and report health and safety issues to management
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating warehouse activities
- Forklift experience, including sit-down and stand-up reach truck
- Experience using warehouse management systems
- Experience with manual inventory systems
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Computer Skills
- Intermediate computer skills in a warehouse environment
- Experience using carrier websites and Google Sheets
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with inventory management systems is an asset
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk up to 2 miles per shift
- Frequent lifting up to 45 lbs independently
- Team lifting up to 70 lbs as required
- Rare lifting above 70 lbs using team lift or equipment
- Ability to stand, push, pull, carry, squat, kneel, and climb stairs or ladders
- Clear vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to hear alarms, equipment signals, and team communication
- Good balance and spatial awareness in a warehouse environment
